General civil practice involves meeting with clients to discuss matters that do not necessarily involve litigation. My focus at this point is to actually prevent litigation, utilizing my experience as a civil litigator to identify areas that tend to lead to problems in the future.
Drafting of Contracts. This involves preparing a written document that embodies the entire agreement of the parties.
Review of Contracts. This involves reviewing documents a client has previously signed, and advising them of their rights and duties created by the instrument.
Preparation of Recording Documents, such as Deeds, Covenants Conditions and Restrictions of Record, Powers of Attorney, Mechanic's Liens, and other notices.
Insurance issues. I review insurance issues in almost all cases that come into the office, to determine whether a particular matter is covered by insurance.
Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. I prepare and advise clients on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements that are valid and enforceable in dissolution or probate proceedings.
Wills and Trusts. This involves estate planning, and I advise clients on important legal distinctions so that they may plan efficiently.
